Jr. Back End Developer

Overview

We are seeking a motivated Junior Back-End Developer to join our team. This introductory role offers an excellent opportunity to build foundational skills in back-end development while working alongside experienced developers. The ideal candidate will assist in server-side programming, database management, and front-end integration while actively learning and contributing to project success.

Your role

• Support the development and maintenance of server-side logic using Laravel and other backend technologies under senior team members’ guidance.
• Assist in creating, updating, and maintaining database schemas and performing data migrations.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate UI elements developed with frameworks like Vue.js, Bootstrap, and libraries such as jQuery.
• Participate in code reviews to gain feedback, learn best practices, and improve technical skills.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs and issues, ensuring smooth application functionality.
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and project managers, to achieve project goals.
• Actively engage in learning opportunities to improve skills, stay updated with industry trends, and adopt new tools and technologies.
• Develop a foundational understanding of security best practices to contribute to secure coding.
• Create and maintain clear and accurate documentation for code changes, APIs, and system components.
• Demonstrate problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach when addressing technical challenges.
• Be open to learning and implementing new tools, frameworks, and processes to meet project requirements.

Your Profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Basic understanding of Laravel framework for backend development.
• Proficiency with jQuery for client-side scripting and DOM manipulation.
• Familiarity with Vue.js for building dynamic and interactive interfaces.
• Entry-level experience with server-side programming languages such as PHP.
• Basic understanding of databases, including design concepts and SQL.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git for collaborative development.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a willingness to take initiative.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with team members.
• Adaptability and eagerness to learn and grow in a dynamic development environment.
