Jr. DevOps Engineer
Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Junior DevOps Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in provisioning and managing cloud resources, automating deployment processes, and ensuring efficient collaboration between development and operations teams. Your role
- Cloud Resource Management: Provision, configure, and manage AWS cloud resources based on project needs.
- CI/CD Pipeline Development: Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD for seamless software delivery.
- Infrastructure Automation: Employ Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation to automate infrastructure deployment and management.
- Containerization & Orchestration: Use Docker to create and manage containerized applications and Kubernetes for container orchestration.
- Performance Monitoring: Set up monitoring solutions to track system performance and configure alerts for potential issues.
- Collaborative Operations: Work closely with development and operations teams to integrate DevOps practices into workflows.
- Documentation: Maintain up-to-date documentation for infrastructure configurations, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes.
- Security: Implement and maintain security measures in the CI/CD pipeline and infrastructure configurations.
- Incident Response: Troubleshoot and respond to incidents related to infrastructure or deployment.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated on AWS services, DevOps practices, and emerging industry trends.
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
- At least 2 years as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar software engineering role.
- Proficiency with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, VPC).
- Expertise in GIT, GitHub workflows, and database/server management.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline).
- Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash, Ruby).
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, AWS CloudFormation).
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or equivalent certifications are highly preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a passion for automation and efficiency.
